The long awaited Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII comes to the PSP and it is great. This game has Final Fantasy fans wanting more with a great combat system, an amazing story from the cinematics to the dialogue, graphics, and music. Crisis Core brings what Final Fantasy VII fans have wanted for a long time with appearances from characters you have come to know. However, you can’t control the DMW limits or leveling up, seems random. Also, the combat is a little bit easy. Overall though, if you are a fan of the Final Fantasy VII series, you must get this game.
Pros:
+ Incredible and poignant story, starring a likable and complex hero
+ Every aspect of the production design, from cutscenes to voice acting, is utterly amazing
+ The DMW is a weird but fun way of leveling up
+ Enjoyable and addictive combat
Cons:
- Combat is on the easy side
- Player has no control over limit breaks and leveling

Hello there! Quick comments about the DMW: you can’t exactly control it, but it is not completely random. The game does keep track of your EXP behind the scenes. Likewise I’ve observed that Materia tend to level up the more you use them (i.e., keep casting one particular spell and surely enough, it’ll soon level up). The Official Strategy guide verifies the issue of Zacks’ level, though not the Materia levels. Lastly you can somewhat influence what DMW limit you’ll get by equipping that limit’s DMW Materia, which you can buy closer to the end of the game if you find the shop that sells it. Don’t know if you’ve gotten that far yet. ^_^
I have beat the game, but I did not know that, guess I never really found that store…heh, well thanks for the info! Good to know for people who may not know that. With those small issues aside, the game definitely is an awesome buy.
this is one amazing game!!!! I have most of the final fantasys and all but out of all of them i like this game!!
