Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Review

Naughty Dog’s first attempt at a third person shooter is not bad in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. This game reminds me of a mix of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. It has great graphics, audio, a nice combat system, and some pretty clever puzzles. The animations for Drake are great and the jungle environments are very realistic. However, some story elements are underdeveloped, it can be a little forgiving at times, and the firefights can often get frustrating. Overall though, I think this is a fun shooter, and if you are looking for a new game, you should try this one out.

Mass Effect Review

Mass Effect is the newest game from the KOTOR company, Bioware Studios. This game is a great game because it has amazing graphics and audio (voice acting and music alike.) The storyline for this game is very well done and it pulls you in and always wondering what is going to happen. Dialogue options can leave you doing many different things in different situations while on your missions. This game is a very long game with tons of quests and side missions that will keep you busy for hours. However, there are some interface issues and the vehicle control could use some improvements. Overall, this is a very fun game and if you liked Knights of the Old Republic, you should try this game out.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Review

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is one of the best PSP games that hit the shelves. It is also the first Metal Gear Solid story that has hit the PSP without the card system. This game has a great storyline, awesome graphics and sound, a great multiplayer for everyone to enjoy, and also a high replay value. The only thing that really sucks about this game is that the learning curve is kind of high due to the complex control scheme. Overall though, this is an awesome game for the PSP and if you haven’t tried this game out yet, you most definitely should.

Super Mario Galaxy Review

Super Mario Galaxy finally brings Mario to the Wii and it doesn’t disappoint. This game has some of the best level designs with brilliant graphics and great audio. It also has a great control scheme that works in every situation possible and a bunch of stars to collect which leaves a lot of replay value. However, the only problem I had with this is that a couple of Mario’s special suits can be a tad bit frustrating. Overall, this is a very fun Mario game and if you liked Mario for the N64, you should like this one.
