The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Review

Rating: 10 Out of 10

When you first start out, you are a young fairy boy in the forest. You are told to go to the Great Deku Tree and this is where your destiny unfolds. You are told that there is a dark power growing in the land of Hyrule. This power is a person who desires the Triforce but he needs the 3 Amulets to unlock the Door. You are told to to get the amulets before he does. You become an errand boy, Hero of Time, Mask Salesman, and Fisherman. This game brings back the series from SNES and shows that it will dominate the N64. This game has a lot of things you can do. You can sell masks, fish, stop the evil Ganondorf, do errands for people, or just screw around by attacking chickens. This game was I think one of the best N64 games ever created. It had good sound, graphics, gameplay, controls for the N64. If you want a good game for the N64 and if you don’t have this game already, this is it.

Pros:

+ Massive Worlds

+ Loads of mini-games/interactive bits

+ Great characters

+ Excellent graphics and sounds

+ You can ride a horse!

+ True to zelda’s 8- and 16-bit roots

+ Miyamoto’s masterpiece

Cons:

- No Problems

Extras:

  1. Totally agree. I lost so much time to Ocarina of Time when I was a kid. I even wrote school projects based off it, one short story I did got me really high marks – I’m guessing the teacher thought I conceived the characters and the Zelda world.
