Rock Band 2 Review

Rating: 9.5 Out of 10

I finally got Rock Band 2 and it is awesome! This game has great graphics and over 80 songs just on the disc! Also, the content you downloaded from Rock Band 1 you can play on Rock Band 2. If that wasn’t awesome, then how about you can import the Rock Band 1 songs to Rock Band 2 for 5 dollars. So we are looking at almost 150 songs just for the start of Rock Band 2. That is a lot of songs. Some other things that are good is the online tour mode and it is fun to play whether alone or with friends. However, some of the songs aren’t fun this time around and there isn’t really any significant changes. Overall, this is a very fun game and if you liked Rock Band 1, you will like this too. If you want to start into it, get the Rock Band 2 Bundle and find someone who has Rock Band 1 and just import the songs.

Pros:

+ 80-plus songs on disc

+ Ability to import songs (for a $5 fee) from Rock Band

+ Online World Tour mode

+ Great gameplay is a blast alone or with friends

Cons:

- Very few significant changes since the first game

- Some songs aren’t much fun

Extras:

# Rock Band 2 Cheat Codes

# Rock Band 2 Trophies

# Rock Band 2 Songs

# Rock Band 2 DLC

Importing Rock Band 1 Songs to Rock Band 2:

* To import the songs from Rock Band 1 onto Rock Band 2, you must first go to the X-Box Live Marketplace or Playstation Store and buy the 5 dollar key (it will be located in the Rock Band section where the songs are) that lets you transfer the Rock Band songs. After you buy it, it will automatically install onto your system. Once that is done, play Rock Band 1 and go to the Options Menu. You will see a new option saying “Export Songs.” After clicking this and hitting Okay, the songs will automatically be exported from the disc to your hard drive for Rock Band 2. You can still play just Rock Band 1 and it’s songs if you don’t feel like playing Rock Band 2, the exporting won’t mess up the disc and you can do it multiple times on multiple PS3’s using the same one key you payed for already. Bought on my PS3 and just logged into my bro’s PS3, downloaded the key for free since it was in my downloads, and exported the songs again onto his HD. *
