Left 4 Dead is back only 1 year after the original release with new characters, new weapons, new enemies, and new gameplay. Left 4 Dead 2 follows the story of 4 new characters as they escape the infected in the southern parts of the United States. There are 4 new campaigns that have ranging weather effects, 5 parts, and are very well designed. The weapons have been improved with the addition of new melee weapons and explosive new guns. The scavenge mode where you collect fuel for a generator is a great short versus mode and the characters have a lot more character to them. The infected have also increased with new special infected (Spitter, Jockey, and Charger) as well as uncommon common infected. These are normal enemies with special looks aka Police Armored Infected or Quarantine Suit Infected. Lastly, there is a new realism mode that is like a hardcore mode for L4D players. However, there may be a lot of additions but the core gameplay has not changed and not much has been added. Also the AI players can still occasionally trip you up. Overall, if you are a fan of the Left 4 Dead series, you should seriously get this game. Oh ya, first DLC for the game will add a new campaign and you meet the original cast from Left 4 Dead 1…8 player carnage? Who knows…
