Legend of Dragoon was basically a developer trying to make a RPG to beat Final Fantasy VII. They failed, but it taught many companies how to make a RPG for people who haven't before in the past. The game is a generic RPG, but it borrows from many other games, and doesn't have the unique hook to get you really interested. On the good side, this game has some good music, interesting cinematics, and an interesting combat system. However, the game's visuals are hard to swallow and the combat system is a little iffy. Overall, if you like RPG's then you should probably try out this one before you bought it.
