Resident Evil 5 has finally been released and I made sure to grab it the very first day. Anyways, the game brings back what you like about Resident Evil 4 and expands on it with a coop system. The game has amazing character animations and detailed graphics, as well as a real-time menu system which keeps the immersed in the action. The coop adds a nice fun excitement variable to the mix and with it being online you can join with just about anyone; not to mention there is a ton of stuff to do even once you beat the game. However, there are some hurdles to joining an online game and you can’t swap weapons with a human teammate online. Overall though, this is still a very fun game and it definitely is a game that I will be playing for a while. If you liked Resident Evil 4, then you will like 5.
Pros:
+ Beautifully detailed graphics and character animations
+ Having a partner enhances the fun and excitement while adding tension
+ Real-time menu system keeps you immersed
+ Plenty to do once you’ve beaten it
Cons:
- Frustrating hurdles to leap when joining an online game
- Slow, deliberate movement and gunplay may not appeal to everyone
- Can’t swap weapons with a human teammate online
