Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 continues the story of young Starkiller…sort of. This game continues after the first in the series except you play as the clone of the original Starkiller starting on Kamino, the cloning facility from the movies. The great cutscenes and voice acting give the story a convincing appeal and the design of the environment makes the areas pop out a little more. Plus who doesn’t love dual lightsabers with force powers killing massive amounts of Imperial troops? However, there is a lack of variety in both environments and enemies and on top of that is an inconsistent level of difficulty. The game is also very short, you could probably crank through the whole game in one day if you really wanted. (My brother has.) Lastly, the final boss fight is very easy but it is too long. Overall though, if you liked the first game and want to continue Starkiller’s story then I suggest you give this a shot.
Pros:
+ Great cutscenes and voice acting give the story poignancy
+ Rich art design makes certain environments stand out
+ Dual sabers and Force powers can make for fun combat
Cons:
- Lacks enemy and environmental variety
- Inconsistent level of difficulty
- The final boss fight is too long and too easy
